Last lesson in drama we were working on ----------, this is where instead of saying the scripted lines you say what you think they would think as a line. I found this very confusing and hard. We had to practise and act a scene from the book 'blood brothers', which we have been working on. The scene was of when Mickey and Edward first meet, this scene is really special!

A performance of a "Holiday in the Future!"

Last lesson we worked on a performance which was based on a holiday in the future, i worked in a group of four. There are two main characters- two girls, who are on their way to lovely, hot Spain- but it's a little different from what me and you know! We used our other two people in our group to multi- role as several robotic features- a ticket machine, Siri, robot and a robot butler. Also one of them multi-rolls at the end as a journalist interviewing the two girls about some of the lovely opportunities in Spain such as the; virtual reality, mega big cinema and their new robot butler! We added some morphing when the two girls used the "teleportation tubes" to get to spain. We added a few comedic twists when the robot has a mishap and requests for a Tesco Clubcard/ Morrison's match and more card instead of the holiday card, also the dancing robot adds a funny element! As well as this, we added a final comedic twist when one of the characters asks for a martini but Siri messes up and thinks she's ordering a Melanie Martinez, which is quite relatable to modern day auto correct on the siri robot himself! Also, generally throughout the performance the robots use different robotic accents and the dancing robot uses a very American style accent.

Holiday Monologue

I've never been on a plane before.. Will I be sick? Will I be dizzy? Will I pass out? God, I hope not! I hate heights, I wish I could just close my eyes- but I'm too nervous.. too scared. I feel sick. REALLY sick. Oh no! Should I tell the person beside me- in advance? No..Yes.. Maybe? I hope I'm not sick on them.. Oh god, that would be gross. Should I tell the air hostess? Maybe she'll get me a bucket? Wait-do they even have sick buckets on planes? I feel so claustrophobic, there's no leg room at all! I should try really hard to fall asleep, then ill miss the taking off. Oh great. Now a baby's crying, now a baby's screaming. Wait don't I have earplugs? Maybe I should just stop worring and then i'll fall a-...
"Sorry.."
